2022 'Just Because' Tempranillo Pinot Grigio
Inspired by Jane's Addiction "Just Because"
‘Just Because’ as in why not? Whilst this style will evolve over the years it was born from watching the fruit coming into the winery in a couple of very tight years and deciding that a blend could be created ‘Just Because’ that was the fruit we had access to. 2022 we played with Tempranillo and skin contact Pinot Grigio. As this fruit came in from two different growers this year we didn’t have the ability to do a co-ferment but did maintain the carbonic style on the Tempranillo with both varieties undergoing wild ferment in tank with 50% carbonic. 6 months in old barrels
TASTING NOTES
A fun blend of Tempranillo and Pinot Grigio which complement each other better than you would know! Lots of bright blue and red fruit, a pinch of five spice and vanilla. Has all the hallmarks of a youthful red wine that is fun to drink, with or without food
